FAQ

There are two ways to book an appointment with me: by claiming a flash design or by scheduling a flash book appointment as a Patreon member.
I post new flash designs 1-3 times a month. These designs are generally available once or twice and are claimed on a first come, first served basis. To claim one of these designs, simply fill out the form found on my website! Any designs that are still available will be listed in my Instagram bio highlights.
By becoming a Patreon member, you also have the option to book a flash book appointment. The designs in the flash book are infinitely repeatable and Patreon members can book this kind of appointment anytime.

What is a flash book appointment?

At a flash book appointment (which can be scheduled anytime as a Patreon member), you pick a design day-of from my flash book! You can browse through the designs beforehand, of course. They can be found on my Instagram or on Patreon.

How much are deposits?

$35

Why do you use deposits?

The $35 deposit claims your design and time slot. It acts as a commitment to your tattoo and my time.

Where do I find my appointment information?

After you book an appointment with me, an email with all the booking information will be sent automatically. If it's not in your inbox, check your spam folder!

How do I pay the remaining balance after booking?

You will pay the balance at your appointment! I take cash, Venmo, or card.

Where will you not tattoo?

Face, palms, feet, armpits, between fingers, chest, and stomach.

Will you tattoo back and ribs?

Yes, but I charge a $40 fee to tattoo these areas.

Do you offer gift cards?

Yes! I offer physical and digital gift cards. Email me for more information.

Can I bring a guest to my appointment?

Yes, you can bring one guest to your appointment. All guests must sit in the waiting area during the appointment. Please do not bring children to your appointment.

Do you do matching tattoos?

Yes! You can request a flash design for you and a friend.

Do you do custom tattoos?

No, not at this time.

Can I buy a design to get tattooed by another artist?

Yes! Tattoo tickets are available in my online shop. By buying one, you purchase the rights to get that design tattooed by someone other than me. If you'd like to work on a custom project, please email me at kipandkoe@gmail.com.

Aftercare

Removing Wrap/Bandage

Leave the bandage on for at least 5 hours after getting tattooed. It is recommended to leave it on for around 24 hours.It is easiest to remove the bandage under warm water.
When removing, do not rip off the bandage. Instead, slowly start to pull one corner away from the skin at a slight angle (think of a command strip).
This limits the amount of excess skin you are taking off.

Cleaning your new tattoo

After you have removed the bandage, wash the tattoo gently with unscented soap and warm water (you can apply a new bandage if you are worried about it getting dirty). Dab/blot dry.
Apply unscented lotion or ointment to the area after the skin has been cleaned.

Looking after your new tattoo

Using unscented, antimicrobial soap and warm water, clean your tattoo 1-2 times daily. Dab/blot dry.
Apply thin layers of unscented lotion or ointment daily. Do not over-apply!
After your tattoo has healed, apply sunscreen regularly to help keep it healthy!

Healing and what to expect

Getting a tattoo causes trauma to the skin that it needs time to recover from. Healing is different for everyone, so do not compare how your skin reacts to that of others.
The skin can appear raised, swollen, red in color, or irritated. After 3-10 days of healing, the skin can scab or flake. It is very important that you do not scratch it!
Moisture bubbles can form. If they do, let the tattoo dry before applying more lotion.

Do you do touch-ups?

Yes! A touch-up is included with every tattoo. If you would like to book a touch-up, please email me at kipandkoe@gmail.com.

What to Avoid

DO NOT:
-Swim 10-14 days after getting a tattoo.Use lotions/ointments containing lanolin, petroleum, or alcohol (except Aquaphor).
-Scratch or itch your new tattoo! You want it to keep its shape/pigment.
-Get sunburned! This can cause the skin (and therefore your new tattoo) to be irritated or damaged. Please avoid direct sunlight soon after getting your tattoo.
